Pentecost always occurs fifty days after Easter Sunday. This is why its date changes every year. Since Easter itself does not have a fixed date and is based on the lunar calendar, Pentecost also moves each year.
Easter is calculated as the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox. Once the date of Easter is known, Pentecost is simply counted forward by fifty days. This places Pentecost on a Sunday, seven weeks after Easter.
The name “Pentecost” comes from a Greek word meaning “fiftieth,” reflecting this exact timing.

God only supports his Biblical calendar, Passover, Pentecost, Fall holy days, etc. "Christianity" is a false Christ.

Christianity is not a “false Christ”; it is faith in Jesus Christ. I also find your statement contradictory: you appeal to the Bible’s calendar while rejecting Christianity, which is rooted in the fulfillment of the Bible in Christ.
DeleteI believe God gave everyone the right to choose their OWN belief system. Thank goodness I do not have to agree w/ the many beliefs the World has to offer. But I DO except people for being different than me.
DeleteJesus does not want everyone to have different religions or beliefs. He said “Follow ME!” He is the Truth, the Way and the Life. Nobody goes to heaven except through Jesus. Eternal Life only comes from our Creator God, He sent His One and only Son to earth because we are sinners from day one. Sin cannot enter Heaven. Jesus came and gave his life while we were still sinners. He died for the sin of the world, rose from the dead, so we can have fellowship with the Creator. Repent and accept this Truth.

Scripture itself presents that choice very clearly: “I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life” (Deuteronomy 30:19). Jesus also spoke of two paths: the wide road that leads to destruction and the narrow road that leads to life (Matthew 7:13–14).
ReplyDeleteYou are also right that we do not have to agree with every belief the world offers. As Christians, we are called to treat others with dignity and kindness, but we are also called to follow the truth revealed in Jesus Christ. So yes, people may choose differently, but the Christian invitation remains the same: choose life, choose truth, and follow Jesus.
